Home with large solar panel arrays were updated with Battery Energy Storage system that allows storing of the excess solar energy to battery system and use that in best possible time. House is obviously connected to electrical grid. In this example relatively modest 3-phase 3x3000VA inverter system was deployed as an end node to the electrical system. In other words, houses electrical input does not come via inverter but directly from the grid. Motivation in this case was the physical location of the equipment in relation to the electrical system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this setup the main challenge is to have realtime, fast response information of the houses energy consumption. Since the electricity does not flow via inverter, the information must be obtained from dedicated energy meter. Benefit of this is that the disruption in operation of inverter does not have any effect on house electricity usage. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
